What to do when the practice is closed

If you need urgent advice whilst the practice is closed please telephone 0115 942 3216 and your call will be diverted to the out of hours GP service.

Please call ‘111’ if you urgently need medical help or advice but it’s not a life-threatening situation.

For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, continue to call ‘999’ ·

The Urgent Care Centre provides access to assessment and treatment if you need help with a health problem that is urgent, but not life-threatening eg Minor burns or scalds, Minor head injury with no loss of consciousness, Skin infections or animal bites, Suspected broken bones, sprains and strains (X-ray service available), Eye infections or minor eye injuries. The Urgent Care Centre is open 7am – 9pm 365 days a year, and on London Road (next to the BC)

The Practice also uses askmygp an online service which allows registered patients to contact the surgery anytime.  Patient requests are then processed on the next working day.  To log into this system click on the askmygp button the Practice home screen or follow this link.
